1. What are the advantages of purchasing a website template?

The major advantage is price: You get a high quality design for just $20-$70. You don’t have to hire a web designer or web design studio. Second advantage is time frame: It usually takes 5-15 days for a good designer to produce a web page of such quality.

2. What do I receive when I order a template from TemplateMonster.com?

After you complete the payment via our secure form you will receive the instructions for downloading the product. The source files in the download package can vary based on the type of the product you have purchased.
If you need unzipping software to open the .zip archive, Windows users may visit WinZip.com, Mac users may visit StuffIt.com.

3. What am I allowed and not allowed to do with the templates?

You may:

Build a website using the template in any way you like.

You may not:

  • Resell or redistribute templates (like we do).
  • Claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products, modified or unmodified. All products are property of content providing companies and individuals.
  • Make more than one project using the same template (you have to purchase the same template once more in order to make another project with the same design).

4. What is the difference between unique and non-unique purchase?

Non-unique purchase:

Non-exclusive purchase means that other people can buy the template you have chosen some time later.

Unique purchase:

Exclusive purchase guarantees that you are the last person to buy this template. After an exclusive purchase occurs the template is being permanently removed from the sales directory and will never be available to other customers again. Only you and people who bought the template before you will own it.

5. Is it reasonable to make unique purchase of template that was already purchased before?

Yes. Because there is very small chance that you will find the same design on the net. There are more than 3,000,000,000 webpages online now according to statistics on www.google.com.

6. Is it possible to buy the particular image from the template?

No. According to our Terms and Conditions we never sell the images separately from templates (as well as the templates separately from the images).

7. Is it possible for me to pay one price and have access to all downloads for a certain amount of time?

8. I would like to make payment by company check. Is that possible?

Unfortunately, we do not have this option at the moment.

9. Is there any return policy?

10. I ordered a template but haven’t received the download information.

In this case please contact our Billing Department via support chat or e-mail.

11. I was billed twice – I received 2 emails from merchant

Make sure that these charges have different order IDs. If it is so, contact our billing department

12. Is it possible to reactivate my download link if it was deactivated after 3 days?

Yes. Please re-activate it within your account under the Downloads tab or contact our billing department directly regarding that.

13. I would like to purchase a template, but it is not available on the site anymore.

The template has been sold out for exclusive price or discontinued.As technology inevitably develops, TemplateMonster may discontinue the production of certain products. It can be no longer available for sale because of being outdated.

14. How can I modify a template to suit my particular website?

Please visit our Online Help Center to obtain detailed instructions on editing.

15. What software do you recommend for editing HTML?

We recommend to use additional software like Sublime Text2 or later, Notepad++

16. Can I contact the template author?

Yes. You can contact the author/author’s team directly using your personal account under the Support tab.

17. Is it possible to use your templates to develop websites for my customers?

Yes. It is perfect for designers who want to offer their customers a high-quality design and also save time and money. Keep in mind that when you purchase the template with ordinary or exclusive license you’re entitled to create only one project (one domain name).

18. Can I put low resolution thumbnails of templates on my website for my clients to choose designs?

Yes, of course.

19. Will TemplateMonster help me to install my template?

Some of our products like osCommerce templates, Zen Cart templates, &c. require installation to operate. Installation services are not included in the package price. TemplateMonster though offers you a variety of sources to help you with installation of your template including installation instructions, some articles with our Online Help Center. Our Knowledgebase contains customers questions and most frequent problems. Anyway, you can always refer to our partners from templatemonster Studio to install your template for you for a small fee.

20. Are your templates compatible with any CMS?

We do not guarantee compatibility with any CMS. Please make sure to check the product description in order to find out if this product is compatible with certain CMS and its specific versions.

21. If I create a web site for a client with one of your templates, is it possible that Templatemonster will contact the owner of the web site in future?

Yes, our legal department checks licenses regularly. In case we won’t find designer’s contact information on the site which was made from the template of ours we will contact the owner of the site directly.

22. Can I apply a discount code to a discounted product or combine several discount codes together to get better price?

Unfortunately, you cannot do this.

23. What is support period for an author product?

Free support period for an author product is equal to 6 months. Extended support may be purchased separately after free support period expires.

24. Pre-Sale, Billing, General assistance

If you need help with some generic issues or questions related to our Marketplace, like selecting a proper product, product delivery, order processing, account settings, etc. you can do this by joining our live support chat and selecting the appropriate department from the list. If a problem is more complex and may require 2nd tier support, we recommend submitting a ticket to our ticket system here. Alternatively, you can submit a ticket via your Templatemonster user account (the “Support tickets” tab in the user cabinet).

25. Item Support

Please bear in mind that item support is provided by a template author (author) and the types of support offered by different authors may vary. The easiest way to check available support options and contact an author is to open the description page (the “Support” tab) of the product you purchased and select the type of support that suits you best.

You can still use the options mentioned above to contact an author as well and if you select the “Technical support” chat room or ticket department your request will be forwarded to the relevant author.

Note, free support period for an author product is equal to 6 months. Extended support may be purchased separately after free support period expires.
